Why

Manufactured with Barbican’s laminated shade material, each Metro product is durable and less prone to damage during installation and day-to-day interactions than traditional fabric shades.

Hung alone as a focal point pendant, or used in conjunction with other Metro fixtures, the Why can split a path into two.

Please note that the overall dimensions are based on the centre line as noted in the line drawing.

Standard Options

Configure these standard options in accordance with your technical specifications.
Choose between Stainless Steel Aircraft Cable with either a Black or White Power Cord, or Stem Mount. Standard Aircraft Cable is 144". Standard Stem length is 48".
“End Lens” option refers to the exposed end diffuser(s), where a modular section begins and/or terminates. Choices for this diffuser are to either match the front material (MFM) or to match the bottom diffuser material (MBL). The default for all interior diffusers is to match the bottom diffuser in order to keep the section from darkening with a fabric or other material.
Finish applies to the canopy and, if applicable, the stem. RAL colours are a premium option, additional charges apply and may increase lead time.
All of our products are now available in LED only. If you require fluorescent or incandescent sourcing, please contact Barbican for options. Please note if lumens are shown, they are delivered and approximate. Other lumen packages are available. Driver loss is included in the Nominal LED Wattage.
120 and 277 are standard options
Colour temperature is a description of the warmth or coolness of a light source. It is a characteristic of visible light and is stated in units of absolute temperature, known as Kelvin (K).
A colour rendering index (CRI) is a quantitative measure of the ability of a light source to reveal the colours of various objects faithfully in comparison with an ideal or natural light source.
Sensor Ready and Integrated controls, as well as proprietary drivers can be added to Barbican fixtures. Please consult Barbican for availability of these options for this fixture.
All configurations come standard with a 1″ purpose gap. A butt joint is available upon request for most configurations.
