Barbican Corporate Brand Uses Pantone Colour Of The Year For 2018

Barbican Lighting’s rebranding venture in 2016 was a bold move towards the establishment of an unconventional design approach. The 2018 Pantone Colour of the Year is reflected not just in Barbican’s brands, but also in its values. Ultra Violet is symbolic of inventive and imaginative artistic brilliance.

Incorporating the dramatic Ultra Violet into the corporate identity was a signal to the industry that Barbican was going to push the boundaries of expectation. Starting with design concepts that have garnered attention with brand new award-winning lines, as well as moving to LED source options only. Energy efficient lighting has always been driven by the corporate sector, and Barbican has been providing total solutions for specialty segments such as Hospitality, Healthcare, Commercial and Institutional for more than 27 years.

“The goal was to create a modern digital brand presenting Barbican as an industry leader,” states Steven Geiger, Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “Our founder, Andrew Cook, is an ingenious visionary whose genuine commitment has fostered a corporate culture of integrity that strives to create solutions for each of our customers’ needs.”

Indeed, Barbican has a history of creating unique and dramatic light fixtures using lightweight durable materials that exceed the pricing andquality standards of our competitors. Custom shade material can also be created using any Pantone colour, and integrating these Pantones into unique patterns, designs and within artwork.

Ultra Violet also appears in the new shade designs that were launched with the Artisan Collection in 2017. Combining top quality materials and craftsmanship with an inspiring collection of visual imagery, Aleta Pippin by Barbican and the Kaleidoscope Collection by Barbican, help to create one-of-a-kind functional art pieces that enhance the overall project design. There are many options available that our customers can utilize to incorporate Ultra Violet, or any colour, into their commercial design applications.
